The UTSA in Russia program is an off-campus course organized every other summer. Students attend classes in the famous Moscow State University (MGU) in the mornings and spend afternoons sightseeing in Moscow and the surroundings. We also take an optional trip to the beautiful city of St. Petersburg. |  |

| Instruction: | 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday in groups of 5-8 students. Instruction includes both language and culture. | |
| Teachers: | Dr. Nummikoski in charge. Other instructors from Moscow State University. | |
| Credit: | Off-campus course in the Russian Language and Culture for 3 hours of direct UTSA credit. | |
| Excursions: | All the important sights in Moscow and the surroundings, such as the Red Square, St. Basil's Cathedral, and the Kremlin. We will also visit several other interesting sites in the city and in the countryside. | |
| St. Petersburg: | We will spend four days in St. Petersburg and visit the Hermitage, Peterhof, St. Isaac's Cathedral, and several other places. | |

| Eligibility: | University students. Prior study of Russian recommended, but not necessary. | |
| Financial Aid: | Regular financial aid and scholarships available for qualified students. | |
